Outfit of the Day

Hello friendlings, just a little post to show you what I'm wearing this fine winter's day.

Clothes

I had this gorgeous Topshop dress for Christmas. It's black and white polka dots with little daisy flowers. It's so comfortable to wear. I'm not usually someone who would wear a dress for a casual look, but I'm pushing the boat out and trying something new.

I pared the dress with thick black tights and these gorgeous burgundy Dorothy Perkins boots which I got on sale (£30 down from £45). I instantly fell in love with these boots. I've been looking for my perfect pair of heeled boots, and I've struggled to find ones that looked nice and were affordable.

Make up

For foundation I used Clinique Superbalanced in 27 Alabaster. To contour and bronze my cheeks I used Avon's Glow Multi Stylo in deep bronze blended out with a small fluffy brush. To give myself a natural flush on my cheeks I very lightly dusted Nars Exibit A (You have to be very light handed when applying this because it's so pigmented - I used a Real Techniques Stippling Brush). To highlight I used The Balm's Mary Lou Manizer.

The eyes were my favourite part of this look. I used Mac's Phloof! on the inner half of my eye, and on the outer half I used Max Factor wild shadow pot in 55 Feral Brown. Feral Brown is a red toned brown, I have been loving that colour this Autumn/Winter. I ran Cranberry by Mac through the crease. To finish I added a few coats of Maybelline The Falsies Mascara and then a light coating of Bourjois's Color Boost Glossy Finish Lipstick in 06 Plum Russian patted onto my lips.

I hope you like the look.
Sorry I don't have a picture of the completed look.

lots of love
Lynsey xxx
