2013 Recap

January

I sat my first AS exams. I'm sure everyone will agree - exams SUCK!! Having to revise over Christmas was so difficult, especially juggling work, revision and Christmas festivities. It was all worth it when I had my results!

February

I went to see Paloma Faith live (my friend gave me the tickets as a Christmas present). She was amazing live and I loved being there with one of my best friends.
I was also very fortunate to be able to go on a weekend trip to Paris with my mother and boyfriend. I went out to visit my brother who was living out there for 6 months. I'd never been to Paris and I was so excited to go. It was ice cold out there, and it even snowed! One very cute, romantic trip.

 March

This month was less than exciting. I can't think of many thrilling events. Aside from my boyfriend turning 18... need I say more?

April

I can't remember anything exciting that happened in April either. Except revising. Lots and lots of revision in preparation for May AS exams. The internet is such a distraction whilst trying to revise.

May

May consisted of me dedicating life to exams. It helps a lot that I really do enjoy my subjects. I've taken Religious Studies, History and Drama, although revising is boring, I do enjoy it sometimes... sometimes
But there is nothing better than that sigh of relief when exams are over! I was glad to start enjoying Summer and the scorching hot weather.

June

June was a good month. I surprised my boyfriend with tickets to go and see Hairspray the Musical, which was touring the UK, to celebrate our anniversary.

July

This is when I finished school. Year 12 had been a learning curve. I worked so hard that year and had lots of new experiences and met new people but, I loved it.
I also got the honour of performing with West End Star John Owen Jones in a concert with my choir. It was so cool to meet him and the concert was a big success.

August

This was the best and worst month. The good was pretty damn good.
It was my 17th birthday which also meant I started to drive. I HATE DRIVING. I'm so bad at it, but I guess it's one of those things you just have to do in life.
Also as a surprise birthday present my boyfriend took me to Longleat Safari Park. It was probably the best day ever and it was the perfect surprise for me because I love animals.

September

Starting back school is always a chore. The summer holidays always fly by. Being the oldest in the school (but the youngest in my year) was so scary. I had to start making decisions about what to do after finishing my A Levels. This was so difficult... choosing a course and a university proved all too hard for me. I honestly have no idea what I want to do in the future so I've decided not apply for university this year and take a gap year.
I also went on a school trip to London to see various musicals and plays. We all met David Walliams after watching him perform in MSND.

October

October half term brought some life changing incidents. I'm going to discuss them in a future post.
One good thing about October was celebrating Halloween with all my friends!
I dressed up as a cat (original, I know).

November

This November I preformed in the school show. It was great being part of the show even though it involved a lot of hard work and preparation. I felt it brought me closer to a lot of people I wouldn't usuaully hang out with. I love performing and always have so I was grateful to be given the opportunity to sing by myself on stage to a sell out audience.

December

December is the most wonderful time of the year... IT'S CHRISTMAS!!!!!
I love christmas, I love buying gifts for people and watching their reactions when they open them. 2013 was one of the best christmases I've had. I got to spend it with all my favourite people.

Happy New Year Guys!!
lots of love
Lynsey xxx
