Review | Illamasqua Liquid Metal Palette

Let me set the scene; I walked into Debenhams eager to buy something, (do you ever have those days when you just want to buy something, just for the sake of it? I was having one of those days) but unsure of what to get and I found myself at the Illamasqua counter swatching the most beautiful quad. I stood there for at least 10 minutes, whilst Jed stomped his foot, just staring at it. It's SO pretty. Under pressure I caved and forked out £34 on an impulse buy. The Illamasqua Four Colour Liquid Metal Palette. This was my first Illamasqua product and I can't say I'm impressed!

Within minutes of putting this on my lids, even after using a primer or a base shadow, it had creased. The products aren't long lasting or pigmented. The shades are beautiful though, and after doing some research I read that it looks and works better as a base and to use simular shades over the top to give them a metallic finish. So I shall have to give it another go. The consistency is really nice, and I apply using my fingers. But it's 100% not worth the amount it cost! SAVE YOUR MONIES PEOPLE!

Instead you could buy...

Maybelline Colour Tattoo Eyeshadow - Eternal Gold (£4.99)
Rimmel Kate Matte Lipstick - 111 (£5.49)
Tanya Burr Lipgloss - Aurora (£6.99)
Real Techniques Stippling Brush (£10.99)
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19)

... totalling in £32.65 (with £1.35 to spare)
