Oh I do like to be beside the Seaside

I live in such a beautifule place. Sometimes I really do forget to stop and appreciate it!
My gran, my mother and I went for lunch at a little cafe by the beach! The decor was so adorable!

Ribbon Radiance | Lazy Girl's Hairspiration #1

I hate doing my hair, I'm so lazy and I don't really know how to make it look good. It's just one of those 'meh' things in my life - it never really goes right.
But what I do know is how to hide it! I LOVE hair accessories! I think they look so cute, and add a little something-something to an outfit!

I was inspired by Lana Del Rey and Marina and the Diamonds to try some ribbon (and two years later I'm still loving it)
You can wrap it round the front of your head like so, or use it around a pony tail/bun!
Go to your local craft store, buy 1 meter of ribbon and you'll feel cute as a button! So simple, and yet so sweet!

Zante 2014 | Girls Holiday

As I mentioned in my previous post I recently finished exams. Often after finishing exams groups of British teenagers head on over to places like Zante, Magaluf, Malia (like in the Inbetweeners movie). The place of choice for myself and 15 other friends was Laganas Zante (which is a Greek Island I believe).
I had the best time ever with some amazing people!
This post could be a long one. I want to discuss what we got up to and say what I thought!

Day 1
We left very early on a thursday night (12.30 am) as we were flying at 5! We were all very excited though so it was so much fun! We all wore matching T-shirts to the airport, on which we all had nicknames.

It was late morning by the time we arrived. We were staying at the Zante Plaza Hotel! The location was great, seconds away from the strip, and a minute or two walk from the beach! There was a lot of young people there, although I do believe it was a family hotel also. They were lovely there, a great little family run hotel. Although we did have over a two hour wait for our room (which wasn't quite as great). The wifi was £1 per day I think, but it was so poor I wouldn't say it was worth it. Plenty of cafes and restaurants had free wifi available and were more than ready to give you the password if you asked for it.

The first thing we did when we arrived was go down to the beach and explore (and get some food as we were all starving by this point).

Although we were all exhausted that night we all made an effort to get dressed, go for food and go out. Many of the clothes I wore were mentioned in my collective Summer hall (which you can see here)

Day 2
We wanted another chilled day as we were all so tired so we went down to the beach for breakfast, then had a dip in the pool.
That night we'd booked a paint party with the reps. This was probably one of the most enjoyable nights! It was so much fun!! It was around 40 euros - so quite expensive for what it is, but I suppose almost all the parties were expensive and that one by far was the most enjoyable!
Word of advice wear something old that you don't mind getting ruined! We all went out and bought cheap 'I love Zante' tops (and actually the paint splattered effect is actually quite cool)

Day 3
We'd booked to go on the VVIP Sunset Yacht Party, this was £45.
Although it was a good afternoon, it was definitely over advertised. It claimed to offer bottles of champane to everyone when in fact you only had a glass when you arrived. It also claimed to visit a secret cave and a beach party. Neither of which are true. You literally had to swim to shore, and then swim back about 5 minutes after. I did enjoy but I wouldn't go on it again, nor would I recommend it to others. Maybe it's would be better to go for the Platinum option but it's a lot more money (£65) which I personally think is too much.
But, you do recieve a wristband which is good because it gets you a lot of free things, or cheaper deals at bars and food etc.

Day 4
This day we went to the White Party, we payed 40 euros out there but online they were 5 euros cheaper. So if you're intrested in this party I would suggest booking in advance. It's basically a party where everyone wear's white and it takes place on a beautiful little island. Professor Green was performing whilst we were there.
The drinks were 5 euros each and seriously over priced for the size you got - not worth it at all! So I would pre drink if you were are planning on going! We didn't get there til 9 ish and I would suggest going a bit earlier (it starts at 7) and it was already so busy when we got there. To end the night there was a pretty firework display.

Day 5
We went to have our hair braided, it only cost 7 euros so it wasn't too expensive.

The second event we booked with the reps was The Full Moon Beach Party. This was also 40 euros. The DJ was really good but the event was crammed! There was so many people there it was hard to move! I think I'd have enjoyed it more if there was slightly less people there. The entertainment was fireworks and fire dancers. The drinks were very cheap though!
I would suugest again booking this in advance online for £30

Day 6
This day we had nothing booked so decided to travel to St Nicholas Beach which is almost an hour away via a transport bus. There was all types of watersports here and it was quite reasonably priced. 20 euros for two watersport rides, we chose crazy sofa, and the octapus. You also had a free banana boat! You payed 8 euros for two sunbeds and an umberella and this also secured you a ticket for a return bus. This was SO much fun! Everyone really enjoyed this day!

That day it was one of the girls birthday so we all went out for nice food, before surprising her with t-shirts with her face on them, and we decorated her hotel room with balloons and streamers.

Day 7
This was the last day. The group split so half of us stayed at the hotel to do some shopping and sunbathing, whilst the rest of the group went on a 9 hour boat trip around the island.
We went for lovely food at a beach restaurant called Mouria.

and then we left early the next morning!
I thouroughly enjoyed Zante and didn't find it was too expensive! Although it was quite a touristy area so if you're looking for more authentic Greece maybe it's not the area for you!

If you're planning on going on a simular holiday I would suggest researching all events before going, asking people who've been previously and booking yourself as it's cheaper. Although our rep was lovely, I think booking through them meant it was a lot more expensive without many benefits. They ushured us in to a room as soon as we got there and pressured you into booking things without getting a chance to find out how much stuff cost for yourself.

The School Story

Two weeks ago I walked the school gate's for the last time!!
I walked out of the sports hall after sitting my last A Level exam... and there's no need for me to ever return (...until results day that is). It's scary, because all of your life you're just excpected to go to school and that's the first 16-18 years of your life dictated to you. Then suddenly you have to grow up, leave and make big decisions for your future!
It's hard because I have no clue what so ever about what I want to do.

Let's start at the beginning, way back when. I started primary school full time at 5 years old (you usually start at 3 or 4 in the UK) but I HATED school. I cried and refused to go a lot of the time. It was horrific. I was born in August, which means I was one of the youngest in my school year, and that most people in my class were a lot older than I was.
My primary school was small and everyone was friends and we all played together and although in hindsight I had the best time ever, I just remember pretending to be sick so that I could stay home and watch Rapunzel (hahaha).

Then you have to go to Secondary School. I hated the first few years here aswell... I wasn't ever the 'popular girl' or the pretty girl - I was essentially a nerdy nobody and probably to this day, still am. I was nervous, quiet, shy and I found it really hard to make friends. I had a lot of mean comments made about me (kids can be cruel FYI) and they really got to me!
One day it just clicked with me, I stopped caring what people said about me. I realised it really didn't matter. That's when I started to 'enjoy' school more. Enjoy might be slightly too enthusiastic... I found it a slightly more pleasent experience.
Completing my Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award
When I started doing my GCSEs I really enjoyed these two years, I was much more happy and comfartable with myself as I matured. Even more so when I moved on to do sixthform. It's crazy to think I finished my GCSEs on June 19th 2012, and exactly two years later I was sitting my last A Level exam! It feels like yesterday!

History trip to the USA, The last day of Year 11, Year 11 Prom, GCSE Results Day

The two years of Sixthform were honestly the best two years. I thouroughly enoyed my time at school and I will be SO sad to leave. I enjoyed my subjects, socialising (especially socialising!!!!) and I became much more confident with myself and realised how truly blessed I am!
One word of advice if you yourself are still in school, enjoy every second of it and power through - there is a light at the end of the tunnel!

Fingers crossed for results day and I will honestly miss school so much!
